There has been a clear fall in the level of interest in LRECs since the separation we had to have to remove the 'pollution' from domestic solar schemes.
It appears that with the price being pitched at AUD36 there are plenty of offers on the table but no buyers showing interest. From the chart it could be concluded that when the price fell to be below AUD32, there was some stirring in the level of interest on the demand side of the market.
There is no doubt the LRECs market is price sensitive, and with continuing uncertainty regarding national policy by the Australian Government and future commitments for market participants, it appears at AUD36 the risk weighting is dampening the market.
